Partnership with Lesley University Elsa Nunez, Lesley University Provost, at the signing of the historic Urban College-Lesley University articulation agreement. In May 2000, Urban College of Boston signed a historic agreement with Lesley University of Cambridge, Massachusetts that enables graduates of Urban College to continue to pursue their bachelor degree studies at Lesley University. As part of this agreement, Lesley University will accept all credits from Urban College in courses where students earned a C or better. Students enter the Bridge Program with the full rights and responsibilities of a Lesley University student. The two courses that comprise the Bridge Program introduce Urban College graduates to Lesley University and the credits are applied to the Lesley degree. This partnership presents an exciting option to Urban College graduates because it: Allows Urban College graduates to enter Lesley at the junior level (after the successful completion of the Bridge Program) Greatly reduces the time it will take to earn their bachelor's degrees. Offers Urban College graduates the possibility of earning their bachelor's degrees at a premiere educational institution in the New England area. Lesley University is nationally known for its expertise in early childhood and K-12 education, as well as offering degrees in human services and management. Offers Urban College graduates an opportunity-as Lesley students-to apply for grants, scholarships, loans and work-study. This exciting collaboration will enable UCB graduates to fulfill their goals in higher education beyond the Associate of Arts Degree.
