In order to register, you must complete these steps:

  • Send your High School Diploma/Transcript or GED
  • Complete a writing placement (if you have NOT passed College Writing I or II): Most UCB students are required to complete an assessment process to determine their correct English course placement before registering for classes. You may be exempt from all or part of the test if you have successfully completed a UCB English course, a college level English course from another college or have taken the ACCUPLACER exam previously and can provide your score.  Please provide evidence that you are exempt from taking the placement test if you have it or plan to complete this process before you register.  Your advisor will be able to provide more information about the process. Have your Health Insurance Card (for 3 or more classes only)
  • Send your Immunization Records (for 4 or more classes only)
  • Send your college transcript (if you have passed College Writing I or II)
  • Have your FAFSA Confirmation page or have other form of payment (cash, check, debit, credit, voucher or scholarship confirmation)
  • Pay Financial Office (includes $15 Application Fee $20 Student Activity Fee effective January 10, 2020)
