Daliza Nova named new AVP of Workforce Development at Urban College of Boston

We are excited to grow our Workforce Development leadership team with the onboarding of Daliza Nova as Associate Vice President of Workforce Development. Daliza joins the Academic Affairs and Workforce Development team led by Dr. Noemi Custodia-Lora.  
 
Daliza is a strategic leader with expertise in business development, project management, and organizational growth across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Her work centers on advancing economic equity and creating opportunities for underserved communities.

Previously, Daliza served as Head of Development and Strategy at We Are ALX, Inc. (formerly Amplify LatinX), where she led fundraising, and the development of cross-sector partnerships. At the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), she focused on increasing access to capital and resources for minority owned businesses. 

Daliza holds an Executive MBA from Hult International Business School, with global immersion in London and Dubai, and a degree in Economics from Hampshire College. A proud Dominican immigrant and mother of two, she is fluent in English and Spanish and committed to building inclusive pathways to economic mobility and opportunity.
