The General Studies Associate Degree is perfect for students who want a college degree but aren’t sure what they want to study, or for students who know they want a bachelor’s degree and want to earn their general education credits affordably and online.

This is a versatile degree that empowers students to explore several course topics and career paths while earning an Associate Degree. 

With your General Studies Associate Degree, you can pursue many different career opportunities, including starting your own small business, and becoming a general manager, sales agent, bank teller, research assistant, or executive assistant.

There are 60 credits required to complete the General Studies Associate Degree. Courses may include:

  • General Psychology

  • Computer Information Systems

  • Cultural Aspects of Families and Children

  • College Writing I and II

  • Select courses based on your area of interest!

Concentrations:

For students interested in a specific area of study, the General Studies Associate Degree offers two concentrations: Digital Marketing and Business.  
 
The Digital Marketing Concentration provides students with the practical and technical skills to work in marketing roles such as Marketing Coordinator, Social Media Manager, or Marketing Strategist. You’ll learn:  

  • The Principles of Marketing  

  • Social Media Marketing  

  • Digital Marketing Strategies 

  • Business Ethics  

  • Entrepreneurship  

The Business Concentration provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to work in roles such as General Manager, Junior Analyst, Operations Assistant, or Development Associate. You’ll learn:  

  • Principles of Management  

  • Principles of Marketing  

  • Business Ethics 

  • Entrepreneurship
